Insurance & Referrals
The practice has contracts with most major insurance plans including Medicare, Humana, Aetna, United Healthcare, HealthNet, BCBS, and Cigna. Because of our specialty, many of the HMO insurances may require a referral from your primary care physician prior to being treated by our physicians. If you have an HMO plan, we kindly ask that you verify that your referral has been sent to our office before your visit. Without the referral, our office cannot guarantee that your insurance will pay for your visit. As a courtesy, we will bill your secondary insurance plans.
Co-Payments
Your health insurance coverage will be verified by our staff prior to your arrival. If they have determined that you have a co-payment amount due, they will collect this at the time of service. For your convenience, we accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and CareCredit.
Care Credit
We accept Care Credit at all 5 of our locations. You can also use CareCredit's "Pay My Provider" feature. Be sure to search for us under "Sheftel and Associates Dermatology, LLP."
