Lyle E. Cartwright M.D., FAAD

Dr. Lyle E. Cartwright received his dermatology specialty training at the University of California, San Diego, following a combined medical and surgical internship at St. Mary's Hospital and Medical Center in San Francisco.

Dr. Cartwright graduated with honors from the University of California, Davis in 1978, where he was a member of the scientific Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. He graduated from medical school at the University of California, San Diego where he was awarded a national grant for his research in sunscreens and skin cancer. Dr. Cartwright is a former Chief of the Department of Dermatology at Kaiser Hospital and Medical Center in Santa Rose, California.

Dr. Cartwright has authored many scientific articles including publication in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). He has also lectured at national meetings.

Dr. Cartwright is board certified as a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and an Honorary Fellow of the Skin Cancer Foundation.
With extensive training and experience in laser surgery, sclerotherapy, and MOHS Surgery, he now specializes and diagnoses the medical and surgical treatment of skin cancers and skin diseases.
