Anya Kaczmarek, MPH, MS, PA-C was born in Detroit, Michigan and was raised in Naples, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University. An interest in epidemiology and public health led her to earn her Master of Public Health degree with honors from Boston University.

After graduate school, Ms. Kaczmarek worked at Harvard University Medical School on alternative medical pain treatments. She continued participating on clinical trial research projects as a statistician at the University of Michigan Department of Dermatology. While there, Ms. Kaczmarek co-authored and published dermatologic research in various scientific journals including the New England Journal of Medicine and the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. Her main research interests were on psoriasis, melanoma, skin cancer, acne, and aging skin.

In 2007 Ms. Kaczmarek received her Master of Science with honors in Physician Assistant studies from University of Detroit-Mercy. After graduation, she joined a busy dermatology practice in Clinton Township, Michigan and practiced general and cosmetic dermatology.

She joined HealthySkin in 2011 as a board-certified physician assistant with experience treating all aspects of dermatology including surgery, psoriasis, eczema, skin cancers, rashes, acne, and photoaging. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, American Association of Physician Assistants, Infectious Disease Society of America, and the American Public Health Association.
